And just like that week 4 is done! Week 4 is a transition week just so you know. The first 3 weeks were the same workouts each week repeated. Check out my earlier post on those weeks. It’s pretty intense for sure, but not too bad. I love changing it up, trying out new trainers and programs. Each one brings something new and unique to the table.
And we learn by trying new things! By getting out of our comfort zone. I’ve been a coach for 3 years and I can tell you that this program always scared me! Many have heard of P90x and Tony Horton. He’s been around a while. He’s a badass! He looks fantastic. If you didn’t know, you wouldn’t think he was that old. Love that and that’s a goal I’m aiming for, for sure.
What’s different about this P90 series is all the workouts are 30 minutes each. Yes! For a busy work from home, homeschooling mom I don’t have tons of time to spend working out. I want what’s effective, what will grow and challenge me, mentally and physically, in the shortest amount of time. And you can get in great shape doing so…I’m a living testament to that. Best shape of my life!
…I think what made me hesitate the most to try this one was one, it was a 90 day program which is a bigger commitment. I typically do 21, 30 or 60 day programs. I will say I’ve been pleasantly surprised though with the variety of workouts in this one. 4 weeks in and haven’t tried all the workouts yet.
Oh and 2, the first few years of being a coach we had to buy the programs one by one. Since this is a 90 day program, with so many different workouts it was one of the more expensive ones. So, it was an investment for sure. I think it was around $90. Well now, you can get every single program available via streaming wifi for 12 months for $99!! How crazy cool is that?! Add in shakeology and the portion control containers for $160. It’s called the All Access Challenge Pack. Incredible deal!
So yeah, I don’t have to pay extra now for fitness programs. Bonus, any new ones that come out, I will have access too as well. Yay! So excited for the newest one that’s coming in July, called the Shift Shop by Chris Downing. He’s the newest celebrity trainer. Amazing trainer, man, father, friend, mentor! Wow! Had the opportunity of working out with him on our incentive trip last month in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
…ok, obviously I’ve got the gift of gab today…So here’s the review in video format, for those that like that. =) You can see some of the moves at the end if you haven’t already checked them out on my instagram or facebook.
Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend! Don’t forget the reason we celebrate! xxoo
